Susana Campuzano (Orcid 0000-0002-9928-6613) received her PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2004. Since 2005 she works as Assistant Professor at the Analytical Chemistry Department of the Chemistry Faculty of the same University where she belongs to the “Electroanalysis and Electrochemical (Bio)sensors” research group. She worked as a Research Scholar in the research group of Prof. Joseph Wang at the Department of Nanoengineering in UCSD (USA) from January 2010 to July 2011. Her areas of interest include the development of enzymatic, immunosensors and nucleic acid-based electrochemical sensors. She has authored over 218 peer-reviewed papers (cited 7402 times; h index: 46), 9 patents, 20 book chapters and more than 185 Contributions to National and International Conferences. Since January 2019, she is Assistant Editor of the journal Electroanalysis (WILLEY-VCH). She has participated both a as co-principal investigator and researcher in many national, regional and a couple of European Projects and in contracts with private companies to implement laboratory developments in different fields.
