Roccaldo Sardella

Roccaldo Sardella graduated in Chemistry in 2002 at the University of Perugia (Italy), where he received his PhD in Chemistry and Technology of Drugs (curriculum: pharmaceutical analysis) in 2007 under the supervision of Prof. Benedetto Natalini. In 2007-2010 he joined the University of Perugia as a Postdoctoral research fellow in the group head by Professor Natalini. In 2006 and 2007, Roccaldo Sardella spent two research periods (seven months in all) at the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Food Chemistry at the University of Vienna under the supervision of Professor Wolfgang Lindner. In 2010-2017 he served as Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Analysis at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Perugia and since 2017 as Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis at the same Institution. Author of >100 papers on international journals and 4 book chapters, Roccaldo Sardella delivered numerous lectures in the occasion of national and international congresses, and currently serves as Reviewer for many important international journals.
Prof. Sardella is a member of the Italian Chemical Society, Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Clinical Research and Trials, International Advisory Board Member of Separation Science Plus (Wiley), and Editorial Board Member of Pharmaceutical Analysis (specialty section of Frontiers in Analytical Science). Moreover, Prof. Sardella served as Guest Editor for Bentham, Wiley and MDPI journals. Since 2015 he is a member of the Scientific Committee of the international Congress “Recent Developments in Pharmaceutical Analysis (RDPA)”, and since 2017 is member of the Scientific Committee of the “Summer School in Pharmaceutical Analysis” (an annual appointment under the auspices of the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry). Since 2018, Roccaldo Sardella is Academic Board Member of the PhD Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Perugia, and since 2019 is member of the board of teachers of the 2nd level professional master program “Process development and production of new pharmaceutically active ingredients” (Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Perugia). Since 2020, Prof. Sardella is member of the Center for Perinatal and Reproductive Medicine at the University of Perugia in quality of responsible for the Analytical Chemistry and Toxicology Research Unit. In 2020, Prof. Sardella has obtained the habilitation as Full Professor in Medicinal Chemistry.
