Dr. Nina Chanishvili is a Head of R & D Department at the Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology & Virology (Tbilisi, Georgia). She has over 40 years of research experience working in the field of bacteriophage research and phage therapy. During her career she has managed and participated in about 25 international collaborative projects. Her interests are focused on practical application of bacteriophages for treatment and prophylaxis of infections, as well as their use for reinstatement of imbalanced microbiota. She is an author of 120 research articles, abstracts, book chapters, and a monograph. Dr. Nina Chanishvili is a full professor at the New Vision University (Tbilisi, Georgia) and Vice President of the Georgian Association for General and Applied Microbiology.
