Laura Mercolini is Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry, Head of the research group of Pharmaco-Toxicological Analysis (PTA Lab) at the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology (FaBiT) and Director of the Professional Master’s Programme in Forensic Chemical and Chemical-Toxicological Analyses of Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna (Italy).
Her research activities are focused on the development of innovative analytical approaches for therapeutic drug monitoring, drug of abuse testing and anti-doping analysis, mainly based on mass spectrometry and miniaturised sample collection and pretreatment . She is co-author of more than 90 peer-reviewed publications, 1 patent, 4 book chapters, also delivering more than 300 communications (including plenary and keynote lectures) at national and international scientific conferences.
