Dr. Engin (https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9209-8858) has received clinical microbiology specialist degree from Hacettepe University in 2003, followed by medical microbiology PhD from Gazi University in 2008. He is currently running a research group in Ankara University Biotechnology Institute, mainly working in the field of synthetic and systems biology. His main focus is stochastic decision making in cell factories and immune cells. Dr. Engin is currently working on the effect of multi-step synthetic genetic circuits to induce phenotypical heterogenity in cell communities and its consequences. As a part-time software developer, he is working on machine learning methods for knowledge graphs.
