Alf Lamprecht

"When excipients become the active - new drug delivery strategies in cancer and anti-inflammatory therapy"

Alf Lamprecht studied pharmacy at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken (Germany) where he also received his Ph.D in 2001. After postdoctoral fellowships (2001-2002) at the University of Angers (France) and at the Gifu Pharmaceutical University (Japan), he was appointed as Assistant Professor at the University of Nancy (France) in 2003. He became Professor for Pharmaceutical Engineering at the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon (France) in 2005. Since 2007 he is Professor for Pharmaceutics at the University of Bonn (Germany). Alf Lamprecht serves as a member of the editorial board of several pharmaceutical journals. From 2007 to 2012 he was external expert at the French Health Products Safety Agency and is currently serving in the scientific advisory board of the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices in Germany. Alf has published more than 150 research articles and received several awards. He is an Alexander-von-Humboldt Fellow and was nominated as member of “Institut Universitaire de France” in 2007
